Meet Nell

August 29, 2012

This is Nell. She’s my new virtual receptionist to greet people who are new to The Pragmatic Costumer, kind of an introduction to the site.

She was created using a free website that I was introduced to through the university. She’s pretty neat, or so I think. :)

Here is her little speech (given in a computerized Scottish brogue):
Welcome to the Pragmatic Costumer! This blog and the accompanying Facebook page are full of costuming tips, tricks, and research from many different time periods.
If you are looking for something specific, you can use the navigation pane on the right to search blog entries by type or date. Use the search box to look for keywords, like “17th Century” or “Victorian Corsets.”
If you have any questions or requests for topics, please message me through Facebook or leave a comment. I love to hear from you, and hope you enjoy learning more about the history of fashion!
